Costa Vida began in 2012 when founder Maria Delgado set out with one simple belief: food cooked with care, using fresh ingredients and bold flavors, could change a person's day. Starting from a modest kitchen in Yuba City, California, she turned a family recipe book into a culinary destination.

The name "Costa Vida" — meaning "Coast of Life" — reflects our philosophy that every meal should feel like a celebration. We source local produce when possible, honor traditional techniques, and infuse every dish with the warmth and vitality that defines California's rich food culture.

2012

The First Kitchen Opens

Maria Delgado opens Costa Vida's first location in a small Yuba City space with a staff of four and a menu of 12 dishes. Lines form from day one.

2015

First Local Award

Costa Vida is named "Best New Restaurant" by the Yuba-Sutter community dining guide, cementing our place in the local food scene.

2017

Expanded Menu & Space

We triple our seating capacity with a major renovation, introduce our signature weekend brunch program, and launch catering services for local events.

Digital Transformation

Launching online ordering and delivery partnerships to keep Yuba City fed safely during challenging times — serving over 10,000 delivery orders in year one.

10 Year Celebration
